Kids In Harmony
The Youth In Barbershop Development Initiative was formed on June 16th 2005 by a group of interested parties with the goal of promoting barbershop to under 26s (High Schools, Universities etc).
Along with achieving long term growth in barbershop for the sake of the artform, the group wants to impact positively on youth in WA by providing an activity which is:
- Healthy - physically and mentally
- Safe
- Promotes social development
- Inexpensive & accessible
- Introduces youths to cultural / performing arts.
The movement is now well established, with a workshop held every year, attracting 120+ students from 8-12 schools in Perth.
