BBDO 2008

Our annual mega-workshop was a great success...

  Monday 16th June 2008.
• Music
  For the girls, Love Me Tender and Breaking Up Is Hard To Do were selected.
  The boys sang Abba Dabba Honeymoon and I Love You Truly.
• It's A Wrap!
  With over 200 students registered for the event, the buzz and energy of the day was hard to contain, but with two excellent quartets to inspire, and the enthusiasm of the kids for all they were learning, things went extremely well!
  Thanks to everyone for help, feedback and suggestions - keep sending it our way so we can make our plans for 2009 bigger and better than ever!

Did You Know?

2009 is the 20th Anniversary of women's barbershop being established in Australia. 

The first two choruses were Melbourne Chorus and Perth Harmony Chorus, both of which actually started in 1984, but it wasn't until 1989 that Sweet Adelines International officially created a new "Area" (number 34) for Australia.

With more than 1100 members across WA, NSW, QLD, VIC, TAS and ACT, our Region has gone from strength to strength.  We hope the seeds of barbershop sewn through YIBDI will ensure a bright future for us all.
